Abstract

We will discuss about five steps of Nursing Information System(NIS), responsibilities of participants in developing NIS, tools for developing NIS, and methods of evaluation of NIS in this article.
NIS which helps nurses´ decision making and problem solving is designed for nursing practice, nursing administration, nursing research, and nursing education.
Five steps of NIS are as follows;

Designing
Developing
Implementing and evaluation
